Our Li"Bear"y was started to provide resources about death and dying to children who come into our funeral home because of the death of their immediate family. A collection of books aimed at children and teens was specially chosen and set aside to encourage children to ask questions about what they are feeling in an effort to help them through this tough time of their life.

The Li"Bear"y also incorporates the help of our fuzzy friends, pictured here, that we affectionately call our "LiBearians". These fuzzy friends are available to comfort children as they journey through their grief.

Our Li"Bear"y is placed prominantly in the main reception area of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home to attract the attention of children that visit.

We asked our Libearians to hang around one day so that we could get some good shots of what they provide to the children that need their help.
They needed some encouragement but after a while they loosened up a bit.
They wanted to remind all of the children about the books that they have to offer them to help them through their grief.
Our Li"Bear"y is open when Caldwell & Cowan is open and we always have Libearians on duty. If you come to visit our Li"Bear"y any of our staff can assit you. We also have certified Grief Facilitators on duty that can talk with your child about what they are feeling and provide support for them as they journey through their grief.
